It’s my first time taking Bahamas Air, but the pilot is incredibly skilled. The flight doesn’t have much turbulence. My airport taxi driver tells me Bahamas Air has the best pilots in the world, and I believe him.
The airport is so organized which was far beyond what I ever expected. The city is very developed with well-built roads and nice gardens. The houses are colorful and in good shape. I’m very impressed with how rich the country looks.
I only book a Courtyard Hotel this time because the hotel prices are very high here. My hotel turns out to be okay. I’m very tired after 8 hours of flying today, but I’m right by the Junkanoo Beach. The water is extremely blue and their little shops, selling fresh coconuts and Caribbean food, inside the colorfully painted buildings. There is a lot of graffiti and cartoons of black characters and heroes.
I’m impressed by all the nice houses here in the Bahamas. I ask my taxi driver if he also has a nice house.
“I used to have one. But not anymore. My ex-wife took it. The local women here are very aggressive and only they have a say,” he says. “The Bahamas has 700 islands. Many islands are rented by celebrities, and they set up nice houses there.”
I have so much fun taking selfies with my tripod in my camouflage tank top and leopard-pattern bikini. People around me tell me I’m so sexy and like a model. I’m still a model at heart even though I’ve retired from modeling. 🙂
