San Jose, Costa Rica
I can’t describe how touched I feel. The moment I land in San Jose, Costa Rica, I reach my 100th country visited milestone. After all these years of effort, nights sleeping at the airport and on the street, days with no shower in the world’s hottest desserts, fears of sexual harassment, terrorism, and 5-seater planes, I have made it. I can recall every single detail of all 100 countries.
I’m so proud of myself.
A cool-looking, tanned female immigration officer flips through my passport and speaks with me in Spanish. She says, “Your passport is full.” Yes, it’s 100+ pages full. 🙂
This is the best Sheraton Hotel I’ve seen, with an amazing VIP lounge, a variety of complementary food, a wide-open view of the hills and farms. It’s so rural, but I love it.
