“You Have a Positive Vibe”
I check out menus randomly, but when I go to leave one restaurant, a waiter stops me. “Why don’t you sit down here and have a drink? It’s on the house.”
I feel spoiled about getting such a nice treatment on my first day of vacation. “Sure then, thanks.”
The waiter says, “You have a positive vibe. You will bring us more customers.”
I accept his compliments and sit down for a cappuccino.
A minute later, the table next to me is filled by a gentleman. The table next to him is also filled by two tourists. The waiter says, “See? You have a positive vibe. More customers came because of you.”
I smile at him. He then asks if I have time tonight to get drinks together.
The Acropolis & Panathinaikos Stadium
I spend an hour lining up at the ticket line for the Acropolis. It’s so hot in Athens. It’s better to buy tickets online before you get here, but I can’t process the online ticket on my phone because their website has some bugs.
On my way up the Acropolis, my flip flops are so slippery. It was the wrong decision to wear them to climb the ruins; no wonder all tourists wear sneakers or sturdy sandals. Carrying a tripod in 95-degree weather while climbing is not as easy as I expected, but I manage to get a great panoramic picture of the Acropolis.
