Since it’s a Christmas Day, all the shops are closed. I stroll around the shopping area – even the casino is closed.
Night. Eat at the rooftop Japanese sushi bar and meet the chef Ricardo from the Philippines, who moved from Dubai and has been living here for 11 years. He tells me he really loves St Lucia. He joins the annual cooking competition at Miami and wins the silver prize.
We chat about the local fish types, which includes tuna, yellow fish, and so on. Tuna is quite common in tropical areas but salmon is for the cold climate. The Tuna here is less pink but darker compared to those in the other countries. It’s the first meal where I eat Asian food during this trip.
Strange Rule at St Lucia
I have printed out the boarding pass for my flight. However, the St Lucia airport doesn’t consider web-check-in boarding pass printout as a physical boarding pass. I still need to go to the counter to print a new one to board.
