I have been to Utah before, and am very impressed with the exotic nature and shapes of the rocks, while I have also been phobic about returning Utah because I got a severe medical condition from the allergy to the bed bugs there. However, I really want to visit the Antelope Canyon and Bryce Canyon National Parks.
This trip to Las Vegas, Arizona, and Utah is quite hectic. I run into a tornado-like thunderstorm at Page, Arizona, and are unable to go anywhere. The rental SUV breaks down after making dreadful squeaky noises forcing me to seek roadside assistance. The antelope tour is full and we have to get on the one the next day. I get bitten with 80 poisonous bug bites from hiking in Utah and am swollen and painful again, just like my last visit! The return flight gets canceled so I am put on the standby list of all the possible flights.
I guess that is the price of seeing the wonders that Utah has to offer.
In spite of it all, Utah never disappoints me. This time I get to visit the spectacular Bryce Canyon hoodoos and St. George outdoor theater, which is just as impressive as the Arches National Park and Valley of Goblins. Page also bears some incredible treasures such as Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, and Rainbow Bridge.
At Vegas, I do have a stroke of luck when I gamble, “double or nothing” on the $30 I have in my wallet and triple it. My favorite buffet in the world is “Wicked Spoon” at the Cosmopolitan Casino. While looking for the buffet at Bellagio, I accidentally step onto the high roller private gamble room, while they are having a private buffet party…I crash the party and no one notices I am the outsider.
